    I believe that avoiding prepared foods is the first step so that you can lose weight. They might taste excellent, but highly processed foods currently have very little nutritional value, making you eat more to have enough strength to get over the day. If you are constantly consuming these foods, switching to grain and other complex carbohydrates will let you have more power while eating less. Good blog post.
